Harry’s Law

Harry’s Law premiered on NBC in January this year. The TV series, a legal comedy-drama, was created by David E. Kelley (he also created “Ally McBeal”).

Harriet’s Law & Fine Shoes

The main character, Harriet “Harry” Korn, is played by Academy Award Winner Kathy Bates. Harry is a cranky ex-patent lawyer. The TV series revolves around Harry and a group of associates at a unique law firm in a former shoe store in an inner-city neighborhood of Cincinnati.

Do things happen for a reason? Harry did not use to think so, but she reconsiders as a remarkable series of events lead up to the forming of “Harriet’s Law & Fine Shoes.”

Kathy Bates

Harry’s Law is easy-watching TV; the show is goofy, cute and predictable. Nevertheless, I really like it. Why? Kathy Bates. How can you not love her?

My favorite moment featuring Kathy Bates is from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes when two girls steal her character’s parking space saying “Face it lady. We’re younger and faster.” She then continues to slam into their car telling them “Face it girls. I’m older and I have more insurance.”
